Privacy & submissions

On Your Block helps visitors discover businesses and lets business owners submit listing details or advertising enquiries. Descriptions come from business websites or owner submissions. Listings are reviewed before publication; being listed is not an endorsement.

We collect the business name, service city, category, optional website, description, and a private contact email. We use this information to review the submission, respond to enquiries, and prepare approved public listings. Your contact email is not included in public listing exports. Submission does not subscribe you to marketing or guarantee publication.

Private submission records are removed from our active submissions database by a daily cleanup after 90 days from submission. Approved public listing information remains until corrected or removed. You can request earlier access, correction, or deletion at privacy@onyourblock.ca. We may need to confirm you are authorised to change the business information. Provider backup copies follow the provider’s lifecycle.

Cloudflare hosts the site, stores submissions, and provides Turnstile spam protection. Google Fonts supplies the fonts. These providers may process connection and device information to deliver their services. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics, or marketing subscriptions on this site. Search runs in your browser. In local draft mode, a downloaded draft stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Contact support@onyourblock.ca for support or listing corrections, privacy@onyourblock.ca for privacy requests, or advertising@onyourblock.ca for advertising. Advertising enquiries do not create a paid commitment. Paid placements will be labelled Sponsored and kept distinct from the weekly discovery rotation.
